What’s your role and how long have you been at Innovative?
I am in ad support, and I just celebrated my one-year anniversary at Innovative at the beginning of March.
What’s your favorite memory from Innovative?
I don’t know if I have a favorite memory yet, but I love how warm, supporting and understanding everyone is. I can always count on at least one person (if not more) to notice if I’m having an off day or am a little more stressed. Those people will go out of their way to check on me and send encouraging words. It’s nice to feel supported.
What’s the most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging part of being in ad support is keeping myself organized. We’re juggling multiple publications at one time, so it’s easy to get lost in the amount of work we are doing. We are consistently emailing about ads, checking publications, being aware of deadlines and then meeting those deadlines. I am a list girlie though. My planner, sticky notes and a good pen to check things off my to-do lists really help make my job easier.
When you’re not working, what can you be found doing?
If I’m not working, you can find me playing with my pup and hanging out with my husband. I usually have a book in my hands or paint on my hands from the art project I’m working on. I also love to travel. You don’t have to ask me twice — my bags are already packed!
What movie, television or book character represents you the best?
I feel like I am a cross between Alice from Alice in Wonderland — I have the best and craziest characters in my life, and I am a head in the clouds kinda girl — and some Wednesday Addams. Maybe a little Disney Princess, though I’m still trying to figure out how to get forest animals to clean my house.
What’s a song you currently have on repeat?
Gasoline by Halsey
What are some of your favorites (show, movie, book, musical artist, game, etc.)?
Oh, this a hard one! I have so many favorites!
My favorite book currently is A Love Letter to Whiskey by Kandi Steiner. I want a book that will give me an emotional response, and I cried all the way through it! I love any book written by Stephen King too — the creepier the better!
My music taste will probably give most people whiplash. I listen to anything from Aerosmith to Lil Wayne to Hozier and Zach Bryan to Bob Seger. Currently I’m in my Post Malone era.
Feed me tacos and ice cream, and I will be your best friend forever.
I’m here for a good true crime show/podcast/documentary. I always think I could solve the crime before anyone else or get away with the crime. In reality though, I am definitely not picking the right suspect.
We play a lot of cards — Uno, 31, Pass the Trash, oh and the dice game Tenzi.
“Jamie’s cheerful, upbeat attitude and willingness to help in any way make her a pleasure to work with. She’s always ready to take on the next challenge.”
