What’s your role and how long have you been at Innovative?
Dropbox organizing wizard and master of the Excel spreadsheets and data lists (insert evil laugh here)! Although most people just call me the project coordinator. I’ve been here just 1.5 years, but it feels longer.
What’s your favorite memory from Innovative?
I work from home, so I’ve never actually been to our main office. So, Shannon (VP), took me on a Zoom tour of the main office, but it wasn’t a normal tour, nay nay, it was a tour of all of the many different desks/positions that Shannon has had at Innovative over the years and she was SO pleased to show me her most updated office space, which is lovely by the way!
What’s the most challenging part of your job?
I would say slowing down. I love to check things off of a list, make things organized for sales reps and the managers, but sometimes I get going too quick on the list that I make easy mistakes. This position is fast paced but it’s important to slow down, take your time with projects and lean on your team members for help — all good things that I am learning the longer I’m here at Innovative!
When you’re not working, what can you be found doing?
Going on nice long walks outside in the many different parks in the Cincinnati area or entertaining my many gremlins, I mean, nieces and nephews.
What movie, television or book character represents you the best?
Hm … maybe Felicity Smoak from the Arrowverse? She talks a lot and tends to overthink; sounds like the usual vibe I go for.
What’s a song you currently have on repeat?
Hozier songs or any alternative folk songs that make me feel like a fairy running around in the forest without shoes on.
What are some of your favorites (show, movie, book, musical artist, game, etc.)?
Documentaries of all kinds have become my co-workers since I’ve started working from home. The weirder/more interesting the better. I also love to watch Resident Alien, Abbott Elementary and Avatar the Last Airbender as a nice nostalgia show. As for books … anything with a dragon in it, and I’m probably for sure gonna read it. I don’t know what it is about a giant fire breathing lizard that just gets me so excited for reading.
“Annie has been a remarkable addition to our Innovative team, helping mold her role into a position that is more impactful than we realized we even needed. She communicates with both a witty sharpness and also a supportive kindness that makes me wonder how we managed without her.”
