What’s your role and how long have you been at Innovative?
My role is business development, and I have been with Innovative for a whole decade. My job is like being a professional matchmaker for businesses. I promote the Innovative brand and expand the company’s business relationships, which include identifying and chasing down potential clients, initiating introductions, explaining the services provided, scheduling travel and meetings, evaluating and negotiating potential partnerships and contracts, and maintaining relationships with current clients.
What’s your favorite memory from Innovative?
Definitely being part of the IP golf scramble team. I mean, how many people can say they’ve played TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course without being on the PGA Tour? I’ve hit golf balls in some fabulous places, where our clients throw their annual golf tournaments, pretending I know what I’m doing while secretly keeping my eye on the drink cart.
What’s the most challenging part of your job?
Sitting at a desk for hours on end looking at a computer! It takes beastly self-discipline to transform my energy from physical work into a focused office worker.
When you’re not working, what can you be found doing?
You can find me grilling some meat, spending time with my family or playing golf.
What movie, television or book character represents you the best?
I grew up wanting to be a cowboy, like Clint Eastwood or John Wayne. I can relate to movies like Urban Cowboy and Pure Country. I love reading the “Good Book” every day.
What’s a song you currently have on repeat?
I’m currently listening to Riley Greens’ latest album, Don’t Mind If I Do.
What are some of your favorites (show, movie, book, musical artist, game, etc.)?
I’m a football fanatic! I’ve been a Minnesota Vikings fan since I was 10 years old and have been to multiple games. Growing up in Oklahoma, I’m also a big fan of the Sooners.
